Best at home microdermabrasion kit to reduce appearance of scars?

I am fairly light complected and I have small dark-colored scars covering my legs from a skin infection last year. I know they will fade over time but Im trying to speed up the process (before summer) and Im looking for the most cost efficient way of doing so. I heard that some microdermabrasion kits have worked wonders on superficial scars such as mine but Im there are so many options I dont know which to choose. Has anyone had any good results reducing scar appearance using a take home kit? If so, which one and approx. how much? Thanks!

PS Ive tried home remedies as well as mederma so Id only like to hear about micro. kits… = )

I have tried around 10 at home microderma kits and i believe two of them are best on acne scars: dermanew, which is a bit more expensive, and youthful essence. the later has amazing results after a week of use, i highly recommend it. there are a few other kits that work well, but mostly on age spots and dull skin.

I have the nutrogenia kit. All it bacically does is take dead surface skin off. Its basically a high tech facial scrub. I use it twice a week at night. Do I feel I got my moneys worth? Nope, I can get the same results from a tube. Plus, when you purchase the kit you get a "special cream that has crystals to exfoliate". When that runs out I have to buy more and the price isn’t exactly cheap. So when I finish, I am going back to just a plain facial scrub. Maybe there are other kits out there that work better than the nutrogenia.
